Sean O'Pry: Work hard and study hard

Sean O'PrySean O'Pry is a native of Kennesaw, a small town in Georgia, a state in southern America. The name O'Pry (read: Oprey) is an Irish name, the blood passed down by his grandfather to Sean. Born on July 5, 1989, Sean debuted his career as a model when it was discovered through the MySpace site in 2006.

One of America's Next Top Model judges, Nolé Marin and Lana Winters Tomczak, owners of VNY Models Agency found Sean while they were looking for candidates for male models in the event. Interested in Sean's profile, the two then hooked him up. From that moment on, Sean's life clearly changed. "I never thought it would be like now. All I know is work and study," Sean said. Since being discovered until now, Sean has remained loyal to the VNY Models Agency, and is the only male model handled by the agent.

Oh, don't get me wrong. Not all models choose to break up with education. Sean is one of them. Until now, he still finished his acting class at a film academy in New York while working as a full-time model.

Why acting? Is not already good at the camera? "Acting is different from shooting. When taking pictures, I only follow the direction of the style directors, make up artists, editors, photographers. But when acting there are many things involved," he said in an interview with Elle recently.

The process of shooting Swift's video clip, Sean admitted, made him realize that he wanted to work more with talented people like Taylor (Swift) and Joseph Khan, the director of the video. "They gave me a lot of motivation to do more than now," Sean said.
