Matthew Daniel Noszka (b. October 27, 1992) is an American actor and model from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who stars as Jackson Ellis in the Fox television series Star. He is represented by Women 360 and Elite Model Management.
Noszka grew up in the Brookline neighborhood of Pittsburgh and attended Chartiers Valley High School, where he was a teammate of T.J. McConnell, who now plays for the Philadelphia 76ers. He attended Point Park University on an athletic scholarship and majored in sports, art, and entertainment management. Noszka was a member of the university basketball team, beginning his season in 2012 after transferring to Point Park University from Seton Hill.
In 2015, he was discovered on Instagram by Luke Simone of Women 360 Management when he posted a shirtless picture of himself and his father working at a construction site. He was signed by Wilhemina Modeling agency shortly thereafter. Since being discovered, he has been featured in ad campaigns for Express, Abercombie & Fitch, American Eagle, Dsquared2, Roberto Cavalli, Joe's Jeans, and Ports 1961. He is a recurring runway model for fashion houses Balmain, Moschino, 2(X)IST, and Philipp Plein.
In the United States, he has been featured extensively in editorials for GQ, Esquire, Carine Roitfeld's Fashionbook, and most recently Harper's Bazaar, where he was featured on the cover of the 2017 Big Fashion issue with singer Rihanna. Noszka has covered the issues of several international fashion magazines like MMScene, DaMan, and L'Optimum. He covered the Winter 2016/2017 issue of Wonderland alongside Jourdan Dunn and Sophia Ritchie and was featured in an eight-page photo editorial shot by photographer Christian Oita. He has been featured twice on the cover of Czech-based Reflex Magazine, first on the 2015 cover, and recently for their special edition issue in the spring of 2017.
He was a guest on the Ellen Show in 2015 and was also interviewed by ABC News Nightline, mostly in relation to his Instagram fame and modeling career.
Matthew made his acting debut in the summer of 2017 for the first episode of Tales, produced by Murder Inc. Records founder and hip-hop mogul Irv Gotti. Noszka played the lead role as Brody, opposite Chet Hanks, Nafessa Williams, Boris Kodjoe, and Clifton Powell.
Aside from acting and modeling, Noszka is the owner of 412 Motorsports, a luxury auto-customization and vehicle repair business based in Los Angeles, Califonia. He is also a partner with the Revive Project, alongside friends Jake Sieber and Josh Higgins.
